Hematopathologist

The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG - Kaiser Permanente Northern California) seeks a Hematopathologist to join our regional hematopathology service in Northern California. Candidates must have an MD or MD equivalent degree, BC in AP/CP and fellowship training in Hematopathology. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of post-fellowship experience in Hematopathology though strong candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered. This will be a pure hematopathology practice (no general pathology sign out).

• Provide diagnostic hematopathology services covering adult and pediatric bone marrow, lymph nodes, other tissue surgicals, and cytology
• Flow cytometry interpretation
• Provide consultative services in hematopathology to the region
• Manage a complex caseload with appropriate clinical triage and communication with treating clinicians
• Integrate morphology, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, FISH, and molecular data into comprehensive reports
• Apply current diagnostic criteria and standards of hematopathology practice
• Participate in call duties and tumor board staffing
