Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.
Principal Accountabilities:
Complete client care assignments as prescribed by ordering physician.
- Participate in the coordination of client discharge process.
- Attend and participate in company meeting and in-services.
- Educate clients and caregivers in the areas of equipment operation, cleaning, trouble-shooting and maintenance.
- Perform client and equipment evaluations as required.
- Maintain good infection control procedures.
- As per company policies and procedures, check and maintain respiratory equipment before patient setup.
- Contact physicians and supervisor with any discrepancies in client care.
- Complete documentation of care and services in a timely manner as per company's policies.
- Perform other job related duties as deemed necessary by management.
Required:
1. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
2. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse; PA and NY licensure encouraged
3. BLS certification.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's degree in nursing.
a. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
2. 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
