The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible and accountable for the delivery of nursing care to Veterans in the Durham VA Surgical Specialty Clinics. The incumbent has the knowledge and skills necessary for carrying out the practical nursing care assignment with patients ranging in age from young adulthood to the senior years of life. The LPN will work under the direction of the RN and report to the Ambulatory Care Nurse Manager. Basic Requirements: Citizenship. Citizen of the United States. Education. Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
