Schedule: Part-Time 24 hours per week, every other weekend.
Shift: Days, 6:45am- 7:15pm Every Other Weekend.
Location: AdventHealth Kissimmee Inpatient Unit but will be required to float on occasion to AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Altamonte Springs Hospice Inpatient Units. All positions may require float to field when needed.

The role you’ll contribute:
The IPU LPN is responsible for identifying patient/family/caregiver needs and providing skilled nursing and supportive care to patients in residence at the Hospice of the Comforter Inpatient Unit in accordance with the plan of care, and policies and procedures.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Provides patient care in a home like setting in the IPU.
1 Provides skilled nursing care to an assigned group of patients in the Inpatient Unit and applies palliative nursing principles and techniques in the treatment of patients.
2 Ensures that patient is as comfortable as possible and provides nursing care, emotional support and education to the patient/family/caregiver.
3 Assesses patient condition and reports change to RN. Administers medications to patients within the patient care plan and physician’s plan of treatment in compliances with the Florida Nurses Practices Act.
4 Answers patient’s call bell in a timely manner.
5 Orders medications for assigned patients.
