The Division of Pediatric Complex Gastroenterology at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of pediatric and gastroenterology experience as an Advanced Provider. The selected candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to provide comprehensive treatment for children with gastrointestinal, liver, and bowel conditions. Responsibilities will include inpatient rounding for consults and outpatient visits. Candidates must have a national Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification, with Acute Care preferred, or Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.  

Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM, with weekends and call coverage, as needed. This is an employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

About Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is a 226 bed free-standing children’s hospital in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida located near Fort Lauderdale. The hospital is currently undergoing a 4-story vertical expansion to double the number of floors and to continue to meet its commitment to providing the highest quality and safest care for children in the region. This expansion is scheduled to open the Fall of 2022 and includes a new CVICU and Cardiac Step Down Unit as well as state-of-the-art ORs and cath labs. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is one of six hospitals that are part of Memorial Healthcare System, the third largest public health system in the country.
