The Alexandria VA Health Care System, in the ‘Heart of Louisiana, is seeking two (2) full-time, board-certified MD/DO, Primary Care Physicians.  Ideal candidate will possess Family Practice/VA Experience.  We are fully committed to providing top quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans. 

Candidates must possess an MD/DO from an accredited institution, have completed residency training leading to board eligibility/certification, and possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State. 

Highlights of this opportunity:

• Potential starting base salary range: $210-235K
• Permanent full-time position
• Daily schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
• Position is potentially eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), as determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program after application review
• Responsible for delivery of outpatient care to patients located in at the Alexandria CBOC in Fort Polk, Louisiana
• Each provider’s panel size specific to their practice and setting
• Supervision and/or collaboration of mid-level providers
• No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
