The Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit is a 25-bed unit. This unit provides psychiatric treatment for adults (18 years and older) and older adult patients (55 and above) that are exhibiting acute psychiatric conditions who require 24-hour inpatient treatment. The Behavioral Health RN is part of a multi-disciplinary team of professional's that provide individualized care to each patient with a primary objective of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of each patient in a therapeutic environment that fosters positive change.
Requirements:
Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
Six (6) months experience preferred.
Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Louisiana.
American Heart Association BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment
De-escalation training within 90 days of hire and maintain training annually thereafter.
Two (2) years experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
